Check the Power Supply

First and foremost, you should check whether the wire is plugged in correctly or not. If not, plug it properly and ensure that it is not loose.

Then inspect the incoming voltages whether they are enough or not. To test voltages, follow these steps:

  1. Take the millimeter.
  2. See it to measure AC (Alternative Current)
  3. Put connector wires in two-socket holes.
  4. Fridges require a minimum of 130V and a maximum of 240V of electric power. See your Samsung fridge voltage requirements and ensure the voltages are more than the required level.

Check the Ventilation

It’s wise to inspect and clean or replace your door seals, and it causes the compressor to work hard and decreases its lifespan.

If the rubbers are dirty, follow these steps to clean your fridge’s door seals:

  1. Make a cleaning solution. Take one tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with one cup of warm water.
  2. Use a soft cloth and toothbrush to clean the particles stuck in door seals.
  3. Gently wipe the toothbrush on the seal and leave it for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Then wipe it with a cloth.

Check the Condenser Coils

Condenser coils are placed at the backside of the fridge. Their function is to keep the refrigerator cool and get the heat out until the air in the fridge is at the desired temperature.
When the coils get blocked, no air shall pass through them, and the entire process will be disturbed, which affects the fridge’s performance.

To clean condenser coils, follow these steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Unscrew and remove the condenser’s cover.
  3. Use a vacuum to clear dust buildup.
  4. Use a brush and gently rub it on coils.
  5. Clean the condenser cover with a brush and wipe it with a cloth.
  6. Screw it back and test your fridge.
